Ho Chih Minh City, formally called Saigon, is also
known as the “Paris of the Orient,” and
is home to 8 million people. Due to the country’s
“Open Door Policy,” Vietnam has undertaken
vast economic restructurings that has resulted in phenomenal
growth in the country’s economy and international
trade volumes. With the the signing of the Bilateral
Trade Agreement and the granting of the Most Favored
Nation status with the United States in 2001, Vietnam
is set to become the most competitive textile and fashion
centers in Asia.
Recognizing these advantages, the Chutex Group established
its presence in the country by building a factory which
is 20 kilometers away from Ho Chi Minh City, and 30
kilometers away from the port of Saigon. Situated in
the most advanced industrial park with in-house customs
facilities to expedite the transportation of raw materials
and finished products, Chutex International has become
one of the largest garment exporters in the country.
Presently, Chutex International is the largest knitted
garment manufacturer in Vietnam. The sizable scale of
the manufacturing facility enables Chutex Group to provide
competitive costing to our customers. The factory is
likewise equipped with first class sewing and cutting
machines, modern computerized markers, pattern design
systems, electronic inventory control and in-house laundry
facilities.
The factory adopts the most complete Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) system
to ensure that all fabrics are carefully tested and finished garments are 200 percent inspected.
Many of our customers such as The Gap and JC Penney have already granted this factory QA empowerment status,
as well as award of "Best Quality of the Year," "Five Star Factory" and so on.
Vietnam has joined the WTO at the end of 2006 and the factory is free from quota restrictions.
With this benefit, Chutex Group will be embracing a prosperous future in Vietnam's textile industry.
